Gatsby peers out at this significant green light, wanting what is impossible to get. But he is determined to get what he wants. Nothing will stop his quest for the beautiful, Daisy Buchanan. The question is does Gatsby love Daisy, or does he love the idea of her?
Daisy & Tom come to Gatsby’s party. Daisy doesn’t seem to enjoy herself too much. This place seems a bit too reckless for her tastes. A lady of East Egg doesn’t go to parties such as this. It seems like Daisy is trying to change her ways in order to fit Gatsby’s life. But is she really up to the challenge?
Maybe she because while Tom is away, Daisy will play. This party and the fact that Tom is present doesn’t stop her from seeing Gatsby.
Nick gets invited to Gatsby’s lavish & exciting party. He & Jordan look for Gatsby to no avail. At the party Nick & Jordan ask about Gatsby. Several party goers tell their assumption of Gatsby. “I heard he killed a man” “I heard he was a German spy” Until suddenly a man recognizes Nick and they find out that they were in the war together. That man was Gatsby. Nick is stunned.

In West Egg new money is acceptable and they aren’t as caught up on how they look to others, they are more open and wild.

In this book you will be introduced to a quite amusing and interesting bunch.
First off you will meet Nick. Nick is the cousin of Daisy and a college acquaintance of Tom. 
The second person in this dynamic bunch is Daisy. Daisy is Nick’s cousin and the lover of Gatsby.
Continuing with the trio, the strong minded Tom Buchanan is the husband of Daisy. His mistress is Myrtle Wilson.
The fourth group member is Myrtle Wilson. Wife of George Wilson, mistress of Tom Buchanan.
Continuing on with the character list we meet Jordan Baker, friend of Daisy and possible love interest of Nick.
And last but not least we have the one of a kind, Jay Gatsby. He is a man who wants a love he can’t have, the beautiful Daisy Buchanan. Will he be victorious and get the woman he wants or will he lose the battle in the end?
Everyone is going in their own direction. Taking their own paths, but what is done in the dark, will soon come to the light.
