After the hundreds of people who attended Gatsby’s parties not one single person showed up to his funeral. What does the lack of attendance tell you about Gatsby? Did he really communicate and talk to a lot of people, did he even make friends? You also have to ask yourself did Gatsby care about the people who came? Because ultimately didn’t he throw the parties for Daisy? And why didn’t Daisy show up to the funeral? Who would have thought.
After George kills Gatsby, he probably realized he had no reason to live anymore since his wife was gone. He ends up killing himself in the end, and as you read in the book, it says “It was after we started with Gatsby toward the house that the gardener saw Wilson’s body a little way off in the grass, and the holocaust was complete.”
George comes to Gatsby’s house, it doesn’t really tell us if he comes in a fit of rage, or utter calmness. But I believe that all he sees is his wife’s cold body on the road, and that’s what he thinks about when he pulls that trigger & kills Gatsby.
In this scene, Myrtle has an argument with her husband about her latest scandal. She proceeds to run out of her house and right into Gatsby’s bright yellow car. She then lays on the cold concrete road, blood pooling out of her lifeless body, while the car takes off without a trace. But the most important question is, who was behind the wheel? It was Gatsby’s yellow car, but was he the one driving? Or are we just made to believe that?
In this scene is when all the secrets are revealed. Tom finds about Daisy & Gatsby. Daisy is forced to make a choice between the two lovers. What choice do you think she made? The man she loved or the man she’s in love with? Or perhaps she didn’t choose anyone.

Is Gatsby what he appears to be, or is he just a show without an act. No one really knows Gatsby, they only know of him. In order to know someone you have to look beyond the surface to know what’s underneath. A portrayal is just that, something you’re made to believe.
Gatsby peers out at this significant green light, wanting what is impossible to get. But he is determined to get what he wants. Nothing will stop his quest for the beautiful, Daisy Buchanan. The question is does Gatsby love Daisy, or does he love the idea of her?
Daisy & Tom come to Gatsby’s party. Daisy doesn’t seem to enjoy herself too much. This place seems a bit too reckless for her tastes. A lady of East Egg doesn’t go to parties such as this. It seems like Daisy is trying to change her ways in order to fit Gatsby’s life. But is she really up to the challenge?
Maybe she because while Tom is away, Daisy will play. This party and the fact that Tom is present doesn’t stop her from seeing Gatsby.
Nick gets invited to Gatsby’s lavish & exciting party. He & Jordan look for Gatsby to no avail. At the party Nick & Jordan ask about Gatsby. Several party goers tell their assumption of Gatsby. “I heard he killed a man” “I heard he was a German spy” Until suddenly a man recognizes Nick and they find out that they were in the war together. That man was Gatsby. Nick is stunned.
No one really thinks about your happiness, until you show them otherwise. Tom & Daisy’s relationship is one that is most gilded. They are perceived to be a happy, wealthy, and fortunate couple, but are they really what they seem?
